Here is a better view of the insert:
Supplies: CTMH Mistletoe Creative Basics kit, St. Nick stamp set, Colonial White ribbon, New England Ivy cardstock, New England Ivy ink, Cranberry Marker, Liquid Glass, Texture Tools, Edge Distresser; circle punch, Sizzix Big Shot, SU! Top Note die.
I used Liquid Glass on the berries both on the outisde of the card and on the insert. I'm not very good at getting it perfect, but I thought it needed a little something and this is what I came up with.
I'm considering changing that circle to Cranberry CS...what do you think?
As always, thanks for looking!
Denise, I think it is just lovely, the white helps make the little holly image pop. I love the chris cross and the little insert, just so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you need to change the circle, it looks great. If you want to -add- cranberry, that's different. Maybe a slightly larger circle to back the other one? But the red berries would disappear on cranberry I think.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful card, thank you for sharing!
I thought the same about the holly getting lost ladies - the double backed is a goof idea, I'll try that! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cool idea for Christmas, love it.
ReplyDeleteLovely! If you change the circle to cranberry you'll lose your berries. Maybe a more sponging on the edge or another cranberry mat behind this circle.
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous just like it is to me!!!! Very pretty.

How lovely. I would leave it as is, if you change from the white, the berries will get lost. This way it pops the ivy. Great job, and good inspiration for the new paper, I love it!!
ReplyDeletevery nice...and i agree with Ruth re: the circle
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty and elegant card. I love that folded over technique. I also agree with everyone about the circle. It looks beautifull the way it is! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks all for the advice on the circle!
